Do you know the different types of Sustainable Origin Certification seals and their categories?
If your answer is no, we invite you to learn a little more about this very important certification in this article.
First of all, we need to know what the Sustainable Origin Seal is: The Sustainable Origin seal certifies and shows consumers and business partners that the company is part of building a more sustainable footwear chain. A certification of commitment to a more sustainable future, which values brands and makes a difference in the footwear sector.
But what are the levels of this certification?
The Sustainable Origin certification is segmented into four (4) levels, called Bronze, Silver, Gold and Diamond. Each level represents a stage of maturity of the targets of the certification process, starting from the most basic - bronze, up to the level of leadership and reference in sustainability and ESG - diamond. By responding to the indicators of the Sustainable Origin Program, the company will add up a certain number of points, depending on its performance in terms of compliance with the various possible levels. This score is the first element needed to calculate the
percentage, which will determine the organization's level of certification.
MINIMUM PERFORMANCE
- BRONZE: 20/30%
- SILVER: 40%
- GOLD: 60%
- DIAMOND: 80%
Our score:
When Conforto decided on the Sustainable Origin certification, it set itself the goal of reaching the Silver level, where it would need to achieve 40% of the total score. However, the committed work of everyone involved meant that it achieved more than
70% of the indicators and was awarded GOLD level in its first certification.
Now do you want to know what points we were assessed on to achieve this score?

Our Certification
To achieve the Gold level of certification, it was necessary to draw up a comprehensive sustainability report, carry out a detailed greenhouse gas inventory, implement strict codes of ethics to guarantee ethical business practices, approve suppliers according to the established criteria and promote the training of all employees to ensure alignment with the required standards.
It was a committed job that involved many hands and which we would never have achieved without everyone's commitment.
We would like to thank everyone who made this dream possible!
